Weird Fishes
Enamel over acrylic on canvas, 2025
This painting, titled Weird Fishes, gives name to the entire series that emerged from my fascination with the song by Radiohead. While listening to its layered rhythms and emotional depth, I translated sound into gesture, allowing the music to dictate the flow of the painting. The result is an abstract underwater choreography — a space where emotion and instinct coexist in fluid motion.
Through dynamic drippings, contrasting hues, and organic forms, I sought to capture that suspended state between immersion and ascension, chaos and serenity. Each movement of paint echoes the unpredictability of life beneath the surface — a realm both strange and familiar.
Weird Fishes invites viewers to dive into this visual symphony, to feel rather than interpret, and to find their own rhythm within its depths.
