100x100 cm ~ Pintura, Acrílico, Tinta de esmalte
In Pacific, I sought to capture the delicate equilibrium between stillness and motion — that suspended moment where the ocean seems to breathe. The painting unfolds as a visual symphony of fluid gestures and subtle chromatic harmonies, where soft peach tones dissolve into rhythmic drippings of yellow, turquoise, and brown.
This work belongs to my Weird Fishes series, inspired by the song of the same name by Radiohead. It translates sound into gesture and emotion into rhythm. Each mark was guided by the music’s tempo, creating an abstract landscape that evokes both depth and lightness — a calm yet vibrant current beneath the surface.
The interaction between enamel and acrylic creates layers of translucency and texture, suggesting movement, life, and transformation. Pacific invites contemplation — a meditation on balance, fluidity, and the silent dialogues that exist between emotion and reason.
